New
Open Studio Drawing Class
Wayne Hibschman
Monday Afternoon
This is a new drawing class where you may explore the world of Marks on Paper following you own direction with help and assistance as required.
Drawing is foundational and indispensable to all other forms of visual representation. This class is an unstructured open studio drawing class for those who would like to develop their work independently but in a supportive mentoring environment. The aim of this class is to use drawing techniques more generally to encompass the broad grouping of Works on Paper. Demonstrations will show the use of select drawing materials such as pastel, crayon and colored pencil, charcoal, metalpoint and mixed materials in combination with watercolor and acrylics. Come prepared to draw the first day!
Pencil
Pencil drawing is a captivating art form that allows you to express your creativity with simple yet powerful tools. The subtlety of graphite can create stunning textures and intricate details, making it perfect for both beginners and experienced artists.

Multi Media
Mixed media on paper involves the use of various materials and techniques to create artwork that combines different media, as ink, paint, collage, and even textiles. This artistic approach allows for a rich texture and depth, as artists layer and blend materials to produce unique effects.

Pen and Ink
Pen and ink drawing is a captivating art form that combines precision with creativity. Using a pen to create intricate lines and textures, artists can bring their visions to life with remarkable detail. The contrast of dark ink on paper allows for striking visuals, making it ideal for, sketches, and designs.

Pastel
Pastel drawing is a beautiful and versatile medium that allows artists to blend colors with soft textures. This technique involves using pastel sticks, which can be applied in layers for depth and dimension. Whether you're a beginner or an artist, pastel drawing offers a unique way to express creativity and capture the essence of your subject.
